Prepare nutritional meals for recipients of district school food and nutrition program and assist with daily cleaning and operation of food service area.

• All required local, state, and federal training must be successfully completed.

• High School Diploma or State approved High School Equivalency (HSE).
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in institutional food service preparation preferred.
• Ability to establish, implement, and maintain sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen. 
• Ability to read and follow directions.
• Ability to meet all safety regulations.
• Proven ability to work with others in a confidential, cooperative, and service-oriented manner; excellent listening and communication skills required.
• Ability to be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
• Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
• May be regularly required to stand, sit, crouch, crawl, push/pull, and lift up to 50lbs.  Ability to stand for periods of three (3) hours without breaks.
• Ability to work in an environment with extreme temperature changes.
• Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations.        

• Prepare and serve nutritious, quality breakfasts, lunches, and after-school snacks for students.
• Follow required sanitation and safety procedures in receiving, preparing, storing, and serving food.
• Clean equipment; maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
